Paint Brush for Helmar

Hey Everyone

I love seeing all the paint brushes that everyone have been doing so I thought why not do one too
So heres my version for my Helmar project

Don't forget to check out the Blog to see what creations the rest of the Design Team have created

I started of by painting the brush with some black gesso then using a little patterned stencil which I did over the whole brush

After that I used some scraps of chipboard to add layers to give height so when I added other layers they were a bit more raised

I added some muslin using the Helmar Fabric Glue which I also used to attach some string that I wrapped around the brush

With all the metal embellishments I used the Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive (my favourite) I find this is great for the metal as it dries quick and has a great strong hold

On all the other embellishments which were paperclay I used the Helmar Super-Tac Glue and as you can see here I used the same glue to add to some Art Stones to scatter over the brush after I finished decorating it

I used Lindy's Magical's Shakers in Cowabunga Copper, Grab A Guy Gold and Guten Tag Teal randomly shaking one colour at a time then drying it before adding another colour until I was happy with the finish

This Feather is an Acrylic piece from Memory Maze one of the new products they are now doing

The little clock is also from Memory Maze Mini Grunge Clock which I thought and then I added a little Frame with paperclay cameo inside it

I used Prima Art Alchemy Metallique Wax in White Gold over the top of every thing using a fine brush to get into the grooves and areas that I couldn't get with my finger

Sweet & Sassy For Memory Maze

Hey Everyone

I'm on the Memory Maze Blog today with this layout that was inspired by these two little cuties
(my son in laws niece's)
They are such gorgeous girls

Make sure you check out the Blog and our Facebook page for what's happening with the Design Team and be able to keep up to day with the latest products

I used the Swirl Stencil on the background using parts of it twice on the page under where I put the photo

I then sprinkled some Lindys Alpine Ice Rose Magical Shaker over the background spraying water as I go until I'm happy with the colour and the amount of where the colour got into the grooves of the stencil

I then stamped with a background stamp into some versa mark ink then I used some Butter Zing Embossing Powder over the background and over the title

I did two coats of the embossing powder on the Sweet & Sassy Chipboard title to make sure it had a good cover

I then added a yellow doily I had in my stash and
lots of little flowers

I've had these metal clips forever and the colour was perfect and just added that little extra something the layout needed on that side

Then I added lots of little glass pebble rocks all over the page for that little extra dimension and thats it

Beautiful Strong Woman for White with 1

Hey everyone

This page is for the White with 1 June Challenge and the colour is Space Frontier

I saw this quote and loved it
It spoke to me in so many ways

I suffer from depression and anxiety and this just says what I wish I could do everyday

I have a tattoo that says Breathe and so this reminds me to do just that

I used the Memory Maze Doily Stencil with the Finnabair Graphite Texture paste

Then over the top of that I used some tissue paper that I tore around one of the flowers and adhered that over the stencilled pattern which it then went into the grooves
I also tore up more of the tissue paper to add flowers and leaves over the paper to give it an added dimension

I used Lindy's Magical Shaker Black Forest Black watered down like a paint and randomly painted in places on the page

The butterfly was from a sticker sheet that Kaisercraft used to sell I just used some foam to raise it up a bit then used a paint brush to roll the wings a bit to add a bit more interest to it

I also used it to paint the flowers

I found these gorgeous feathers at a cheap shop the gold on the end is so shimmery it's a shame the photo doesn't show it
I had a plastic coaster that I cut in half and used they are so pretty they look like doilies

I added some white flowers as well because you can never have too many flowers

I had the die cut from a Prima pack I think it was and it fit perfect with the  quote so I raised it up with some foam tape and added it to the layout

I randomly stamped with a Kaisercraft Texture Script stamp

I then finished off with some Prima Art Stones and thats it

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will come back again soon xx

Dreams for Helmar

Hey Everyone

I had this photo of my son which I stole of his Instagram I think it was - teenagers are hard to get photos of and this was taken at a party lucky for me someone had tagged him and I saw it LOL

I had the perfect size canvas for this photo and thought it would make a great project for my Helmar Blog post
Make sure you visit the Blog and see all the great projects that the other Design Team Members have come up with

I used the Helmar Super-Tac Glue to stick book paper down onto the canvas tearing it into random shapes and scrunching it as I lay it down

I put a layer of the Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA Glue over the top of the paper to make sure it is all stuck down then put a thin layer of clear gesso over that so that the Magical's would take to the surface
I used Bachelor Button Blue, Tweedle Dee Denim, Mad Hatter Mint Green and Shabby Turbine Teal over the background sprinkling the colours then spraying the water and drying in between until I was happy with the colour of the canvas

After using the Magical's I like to use a coat of Helmar Crystal Kote Fixative to make sure when I'm sticking anything down to make sure the Magical's don't smudge or run with the wet glue

I used the Helmar Super-Tac Glue to stick the cardstock die cut to the canvas

I used the Acid Free Glue to adhere the photo to the cardboard

I used the Helmar Craft Glue to adhere the cardboard to the canvas

I used Memory Maze Square Mesh Grunge Chipboard for some added texture and covered it with the  Art Alchemy Metallique Wax in Brushed Iron

I love metal so I added some metal washers and some old metal pieces that I had in my stash
On the Hexagon die cut cardstock I added some Art Alchemy Metallique Wax in Brushed Iron so it matched my metal embellishments
