Christmas in July hoop for My Time To Craft Challenges

Our theme this time is Christmas in July over at the My Time To Craft Blog

Make sure you go and check out the inspiration from the other Design Team members and enter the challenge for some fun

I was given this photo by a friend of her grand daughter and her brothers that was taken at Christmas I hadn't scrapped it as I knew I wanted to do something more than just a layout with it
The photo is so cute and I still can't believe that the baby and the dogs sat still long enough for them to get the photo

I used a sewing hoop as the frame which I covered in brown paint then Rusty Paper paint (it's one of my favourite things to use) and I also used it on Prima Marseille Grand frame
I dotted some of the Finnabair Art Extravagance Patina Paste around the hoop and on the frame

The paper is Wildflower Specialty Gloss Paper by Kaisercraft and I used Candy Shimmer Dust from Colour Blast over the paper I then used Colour Blast Snow White Paste in a diamond stencil it gives just a touch of shimmer

On the You Make Me Smile cut out I used the Art Alchemy-Metallique Wax-Brushed Iron it's so smooth and comes up so nice

And then embellished it with flowers and bling and a few other bits and pieces

I did the final flick of watered down gesso and that was it

I loved the way the rust paint came out and the red shimmer dust mixed with water just gives that pop of colour  - Christmas in July Hoop Frame

On the farm With My Time To Craft

The challenge for My Time To Craft Challenge is something to do with down on the farm
Make sure you come over to the BLOG to see what the other design team members came up with

I don't really have a farm to visit or spend time at so when I was trying to work out what to do I came across this photo online and that made me feel like I was there

The flowers are so pretty

I made it a simple layout as I wanted the photo to be the main focus

Thanks for visiting I hope you will come back soon xx

waterfall

A friend of my daughter and her fiancés took this photo and I had to use it

I bought some more  Colour Blast products and had to have a play

I used a Kaisercraft Be-YOU-tiful gloss specialty paper it has like a resist effect so when I sprinkled the Duke Shimmer Dust then sprayed the water it it didn't stay on the gloss pattern

When I had the wording on my mat I added some of the Sunflower Shimmer Dust and sprayed it with some water so it gives a few different shades of yellow

I used the Bling Colour Blast Paste through a stencil its so cool cause it still shows the colours underneath but has a raised shimmery texture

I mixed some of the Sunflower Shimmer Dust into the gesso and here you can see how the texture paste has become transparent enough to show the background pattern

The flower was coloured with the Duke Shimmer Dust

Thank you for visiting and I hoe you will come back soon xx
