Travel Journal for Mixed Media Warriors Challenge

Hi everyone

This challenge is so pretty and colours I love to use so I created a travel journal cause thats what this mood board makes me feel

Mixed Media Warriors have an awesome challenge site if you love to do mixed media check out their Blog

I attached two canvases with cardstock folded in half to make a book I like the thickness of the canvasses - they make it very sturdy for when you show off your travel photos

The canvas was painted with Alchemy Art paints - Light Patina, Vintage Rose and Opal Magic Green-Gold I love the shimmer

I used a Scrap FX Paint Brushes stencil I love how thick the stencil it is

The paper I used were some captured moments cards I have had for awhile from Kaisercraft

And then there is always metal and flowers needed

I painted the edges of the paper just for a bit more interest

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will be back soon xx

Roses for the July Kraft Plus challenge

Hey everyone I had time to get some challenge done I haven't participated in any for awhile so I've entered the Kraft+  challenge

This month at Kraft+ challenge blog is all about roses

So I had to use roses 3 ways - here's my interpretation of the criteria I used a stencil, paper roses, paper with roses and a paper clay ceiling rose LOL

I uses an embroidery hoop that I made look rusty using brown paint and some fine sand on the base and some burnt sienna with a bit of texture powder mixed through to make it a bit thicker then randomly painted it over the hoop

I used bits of the PRIMA Rose Quartz Range

Floral Roses Mask from Prima with Snow White Colour Blast Paste

I painted the embellishments, ceiling rose and brushed the flowers with Art Alchemy Paint Opal Magic Rose Gold it's so pretty

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will come back soon xx

Aura for Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenges

This month at Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenges we have Scrapmatts as our sponsors

Make sure you check out their STORE they have a huge variety of products including my favourite metal embellishments and stencils as well as lots of chipboard and paper tole products

Check out the Creative Artiste Mixed Media blog to get some inspiration and enter the challenge you never know you might be the lucky person to win the great prize for Scrapmatts

This is a photo of my god daughter Emily she is very special, smart, kind, naughty (LOL) and has an old soul
When I printed the photo out she has an aura around her
I don't know if it's to do with the lighting or what but she has a spiritual connection to the angels

I used the Prima Alchemy Paints in the opal colours to give a soft glow around the photo

I used the Tile pattern stencil, Metal charms and the Butterflies from Scrapmatts

I used some deco foil on all the metal in a rainbow colour to add a bit of shimmer

Thanks for visiting I hope you will come back soon xx
