Owls

I do love owls and this image is so cute

Thanks to the Gecko Galz  they have some awesome images of owls available on their Etsy store 

This one is part of the “Owl be seeing you” set

The background is from the “Abigail Paper Pack” it’s a beautiful set of floral background papers 

I started by glueing the background paper down then used a stencil over the top with som impasto which dries clear so your just left with texture 

I used some bling from a brooch and some other embellishments

I painted lots of paperclay flowers in a colour as close to the flowers in the background paper and used som resin flowers as well 

I added ribbon down the sides of the board to frame the image

And added a tag embellishment

My challenge entry for the rainbow challenge 

I used the Rainbow Connection set which I loved as soon as I seen it so vibrant and happy 

I used texture paste on the canvas

I added little flowers for added colour

I used a mould of bottles with paperclay and painted them with acrylics then white washed them 

I added some bubbles with paperclay from a mould I have and added some rainbow ribbon and flowers

My project for this month is of bees

The images are from the Butterflies and Bees images Set and the What’s the Buzz image set

I used 2 stencils on the background one of a bee the other of a flower pattern 

Then I used some gold acrylic paint over the background watered down more in some parts

I added embellishments of flowers and bees 

I also added a few flairs of bees that I have been keeping for a rainy day lol

Some of the images I added glass cabachons too so you could see bits of the image better

As well as paper flowers I used some yellow resin flowers

I added a paperclay bottle to look like a bottle of “honey”
