its getting to that busy time of the year where all the Christmas parties are happening well for me we are busy with birthdays as well
The second half of the year seems to have a birthday a week but this one is a special one a friends daughter (her youngest of 5) is turning 21 I can’t believe it to be honest she was a baby when I met the family and to watch this gorgeous girl grow into a beautiful young lady is so awesome
I’ve had the privilege to make most of the sign in books for their special birthdays
Here’s the birthday girls album and the process and of course all the fantastic glues from Helmar that I used in the process
Make sure to take a look at the rest of the blog for some great inspiration from the rest of the Design Team
First off I started by removing the spiral book connector thingy (can’t think of its correct name)
It had a ribbon holding it together but I wanted to turn it on its side and use a different ribbon
i used the Fabric Glue to adhere the ribbon to the back of the book
I then printed on the paper a picture that relates to the birthday girl no one else will get the picture but she knows what it is
I used the Acid Free Glue to adhere the cardstock to the front of the book
After I used some clear paste through a stencil to add some texture
I painted the letters with some gold paint then rubbed it over with some wax
Once the paste dried I rubbed the stenciled area lightly over with some wax to show up the pattern
I used the Tacky Craft Glue to stick the cardboard letters and the little flowers down
Then I added some metal and acrylic embellishments, knowing how great the Tiger Grip is I know my bits won’t come off
