ME

This month for Helmar  I created a canvas about me and this is very rare as I never do anything about me

But recently I had my hair done (I had mesh integration done) I know having your hair done doesn’t sound like much but this is a big process and its made me feel like a different person maybe like my younger confident self again I’m not sure anyway this is not a diary post hahaha This is about my canvas I created

I used Super TAC Glue and 450 Quick Dry Adhesive for my project

I Started by adding some texture paste through a stencil around the top edges and the back of the canvas

Then painted it yellow but it was way too bright so painted it white to tone it down a lot

I added lots of cardboard to the back of my photo to raise it up and used the Super TAC Glue to hold it all together

I added gauze to the background then added some wired ribbon which I folded and placed across the middle of the canvas

I glued a paperclay border with 450 Quick Dry Adhesive across the edge of the canvas which I had panted pink and rubbed over it with gold wax

I then glued down the flowers and little embellishments including the tiny bow in my hair

I added some Super TAC Glue to the glass beads and placed them randomly around the canvas

Added a couple of ribbons and a buzzy bee

And to finish off I added some quotes I thought suited my mood

Thank you for visiting I hope you come back soon xx

Beach Baubles

These baubles were created for Scrapbook Fantasies using their fabulous products which you can find here

On the baubles I used some of the Nautical Dreams collection

Back and Front

Which includes

Blue Water Colour Stripe Collage Rice Paper

Wanderlust Chippie

Nautical Dreams Colour Word Sheet

Nautical Dreams Paper No. 1

Nautical Dreams colour cuts Bouquets

Using water to tear the images out
I used the large waves and the image of the lighthouse

I used gesso on the bauble first and painted it so the colour behind the rice collage paper wouldn’t be so transparent

I spread the glue evenly over the whole bauble before putting the waves one

Then I glued the lighthouse image on

I used some paperclay in a mould
This one looked similar to rope

I used some paperclay in a mould
This one looked similar to rope
Here you can see I added it to the top of the baubles

Here you can see I finished it off with the word Wanderlust Chippie, some glass bits for contrast and a few flowers
I added some string to hang it with

The second bauble I used some powders inside

I added some of the rope paperclay and string to hang with

I started off with some netting then layered the fussy cut images from the Nautical Dreams Paper No. 1 and the Nautical Dreams Colour Word Sheet

I used one of the flowers from the  Nautical Dreams colour cuts Bouquets And added some glass pieces for some sparkle

Thank you for visiting I hope you’ll be back soon xx

The Scrapbook Fantasies product range is huge and you’ll find something for every project

I started off with some water colours for the background
A couple of blues for a water look

Then I added some green watercolour paints to give it a look of trees

Then using the gorgeous Wave Rice Collage paper
I wet around the boat image on the front and the back

Helping the image to come out of the paper
Also by tearing it like this it blends into your project really nicely as you’ll see in the finished project

You I used the Light House chippie which I painted white and added some rust to age and weather it a bit
I used some black pen to add some of the details back in and painted in the bushes
I used the Anchor from the Nautical Dreams Title pack Chippies set I used a silver pen to colour it
I then fussy cut the glass bottle from the Nautical Dreams pattern paper 3

I fussy cut the light house from the Nautical Dreams patterned paper 5
I also used some of the reverse side to mat the photo as well as Patterned papers 2 and Patterned paper 4

Adding some rust paint to that as well
I also added some gauze to the background for some more texture

I used one of the quotes from the Nautical Dreams word sheet
I added some sand and some art stone for some more interest

They also have a Facebook Challenge page so don't forget to check that out as well this has different challenges to enter

This months theme is Asian beauties and these are my creations

These images are from the Asian dolls collection it has so many gorgeous girls on the sheet to choose from so make sure to go to the Etsy store and check it out

This is a wooden placemat that I painted blue then added the three images which I raised up on cardboard

I added a paperclay border which I painted yellow and added a little pearl to each flower centre

Across the top I did a flourish of flowers in the colours that are in the images
I think it adds that extra pop

This project I did is a writing book that I had
I love this image and the colours are so vibrant in the flowers in her hair

I added ribbons to the spiral rings and a few little embellishments for something extra

I painted the background in a rusty red to match the colours on the image and the flowers the same yellow as her ones in her hair

I enhanced the image with some white flowers to add a pop
and a little bit of metal for a contrast to the soft flowers

Thank you for visiting I hope you will come back soon xx
