Christmas in July hoop for My Time To Craft Challenges

Our theme this time is Christmas in July over at the My Time To Craft Blog

Make sure you go and check out the inspiration from the other Design Team members and enter the challenge for some fun

I was given this photo by a friend of her grand daughter and her brothers that was taken at Christmas I hadn't scrapped it as I knew I wanted to do something more than just a layout with it
The photo is so cute and I still can't believe that the baby and the dogs sat still long enough for them to get the photo

I used a sewing hoop as the frame which I covered in brown paint then Rusty Paper paint (it's one of my favourite things to use) and I also used it on Prima Marseille Grand frame
I dotted some of the Finnabair Art Extravagance Patina Paste around the hoop and on the frame

The paper is Wildflower Specialty Gloss Paper by Kaisercraft and I used Candy Shimmer Dust from Colour Blast over the paper I then used Colour Blast Snow White Paste in a diamond stencil it gives just a touch of shimmer

On the You Make Me Smile cut out I used the Art Alchemy-Metallique Wax-Brushed Iron it's so smooth and comes up so nice

And then embellished it with flowers and bling and a few other bits and pieces

I did the final flick of watered down gesso and that was it

I loved the way the rust paint came out and the red shimmer dust mixed with water just gives that pop of colour  - Christmas in July Hoop Frame

Thanks for visiting and I hope you you come back soon xx
