Today for Memory Maze

Hey Everyone

This was a fun little project for the Memory Maze Blog with colour but also my favourite rust and owls

Make sure you visit our Facebook page so you don't miss out on anything new

I started of with the Door Wire Stencil and some crackle paste on a mini canvas I set it aside to dry on it's own as it has ha better crackle when you do this

Once the background was dry I used some Colour Blast Colour Artist Ink in Citrus, Slipper and Spice
Dripping the colours down the canvas and adding a little water to spread the colour over the whole canvas

Then with the 2 piece vintage oval frame I painted it with some brown acrylic paint then some Rusty Paper Paint dabbing it randomly then I added some Frank Garcia Memory Hardware Artisan Powder in Trianon Patina in random spots

I cut 2 of the outer Hearts a pair so they sat in each other then used the Artist Inks again to paint them

I painted the flowers behind the owl with the citrus as it needed some more brightness behind the owl
The owl I used Frank Garcia Memory Hardware Artisan Powder in Umber, Clay and Black and mixed in a bit of Colour Blast Colour Spray Mocha and the leaves I used the Grass Artist Ink

From the Globes set I took the little vintage timer out and painted it with Artisan Powders and then a bit of the Mocha Colour Spray and a bit of Cobalt Shimmer Dust mixed with a fair bit of water

I added a few white flowers because you can never have enough flowers LOL

Teach our Daughters for Memory Maze

Hey Everyone

This week on my blog my project for Memory Maze is about our daughters I saw this quote and it just seemed right (yes I love using quotes I have adult children so it's hard to get photos LOL)

I started off painting the edge of the inside of the canvas with Azure Impasto (not a colour I would normally use but I need to use other than the ones I always use LOL)

I used the Noughts and Crosses Stencil around the edge of the canvas with some Heavy Body Gel
I wasn't happy with Azure so I painted everything with Dylusions Calypso Teal

I then used the Mini Divided Heart Stencil in the centre of the canvas randomly which I then painted with Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Cube - Snow White for some shimmer in the background

I then use some more Colour Shimmer Cubes in a variety of colours but the ones I used on my canvas were - Deep Water, Sunshine, Rose Petal, Punch and Bling

I used the Snow White Shimmer Cube on the Words Fancy Awesome, Spectacular chipboard and some Bling Colour Blast Embossing powder

I used a card from my stash of Project Life cards that I never use and you can see some fabric I've had that for a while

These are some Prima flowers that a friend gave me so I had to use them and I love flair buttons and this one is so true with the quote

Then I used some little white Kaisercraft flowers on the canvas as well cause I love flowers

Help for Memory Maze

Hey Everyone

My project for the Memory Maze Blog was created around the quote

Make sure you visit the Memory Maze Laser Cuts Store and see what's new

And check the blog for all the latest inspiration the Team have created for you

I had a timber frame and painted it with some Colour Blast Heavy White Gesso so that the Dylusions Paint in Cherry Pie

I used 3D Matte Gel through the Swirl Stencil onto some plain card once it was dry I painted that with Cherry Pie as well

When that was dry I scrapped some of the white gesso across the raised pattern so you could see it

I painted the Wrought Iron 22with some Art Alchemy Fresh Orange and glued it down with the Helmar Premium Craft Glue

With the Feather Flourishes I used the Art Alchemy Fresh Orange again and then glued them down with the Helmar Premium Craft Glue

I then added some flowers, a flair button and a journal card

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will visit again x

Wonder for Memory Maze

Hey Everyone

I hope you have had a great start to the new year
Here's my first project for the Memory Maze Blog for this year
Also make sure you check out the rest of the blog or our
Facebook page for all the latest updates and
Design Team creations

I started with a canvas that I used in reverse I like to have some depth sometimes without having to build things up
I painted the canvas with black gesso

Then used the River Pebbles Stencil with modelling paste on the background
Once the paste was dry I painted over that with the gesso as well

I painted Small Chicken WireBorder 2 Flourish. metal embellishments and Art Pebbles with the black gesso
I left the flowers, the arrow from Charms Creations and the brown Mermaid Beads as they were so there was so more contrast

With the Deer I used modelling paste with the Mini Flower Stencil
Then I used Dark Chocolate Impasto mixed with a little White Impasto
Once everything was dry I rubbed some Finnabair Rich Copper Wax over the raised areas

I used Lucky Emereald on the leaves and then Mystic Turquoise and the Lucky Emerald on the flowers and the

Small Chicken Wire as well as some Vintage Gold which is what I used on all the metal embellishments
And around the edge of the canvas I rubbed a bit of each colour except the Fire Ruby

The Art Pebbles I used a mix of Fire Rube and Vintage Gold

Products I used from Memory Maze -

Sewing Box for Memory Maze

Hey Everyone

This project is for the Memory Maze Blog where you can find so much inspiration and see so many of the other products that they make because each Design Team member get different things to use

Here's a fun tin I made for a sewer using the Make Your Own Steam Punk Set I love this set it has so much in it
I was going to grunge it but then I thought I'd use may favourite colours instead - red, orange, pink and yellow they make everything happy and bright

I've made a YouTube video of the process

I had this tin that someone gave me I think it was from last Christmas cookies and I thought it was a perfect size for all your sewing bits and bobs I have about 3 small containers so this should work fine

I started off by painting the everything with black gesso including all the embellishments
Then use Art Extravagance Texture Paste Graphite with the Mandala Doily Stencil randomly over the tin
Once that dried I then glued some old pattern making paper down with Art Basics Clear Gesso

Then I glued each piece down with the Helmar Premium Craft Glue
I added some pieces of muslin for some more texture then painted that with the black gesso as well

When everything was dry I used Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Dust - Lollipop, Amber, Sunflower and Candy with a brush flicking the powder randomly over the tin then I sprayed water over it
It gave a beautiful shimmer but once they dried it just left a shimmer and not much colour because of the black gesso (they work much better on lighter colours) so I got out the Colour Shimmer Cubes -Tangerine Dream, Sunflower, Fire Engine, Blush, Lipstick and then some Bling for some added shimmer(which are no longer available from Colour Blast but I do know there are still a few online stores that have them)
They mixed great with Colour Simmer Dusts and added extra colour over the tin
