Fairy Sophie for Memory Maze

Hey Everyone

For my project this week I've chosen a photo of my Goddaughter from a few years ago in a fairy costume I had some Memory Maze chipboard Fairies just waiting to be used when I remembered this photo

Make sure to check out the Memory Maze Blog for lots of inspiration and to see the new upcoming designs
We are also on Facebook and Instagram so make sure to check us out on social media as well

I painted the fairy using the Finnabair Art Alchemy Paints Metallique Rustic Brown, Wild Fuchsia, Pure Sunshine, Fresh Orange, White Pearl and Opal Magic Yellow-Blue

I mixed Helmar Super-Tac Glue with some glitter to cover the Criss Cross, Mini Scribble Heart I used
Here's what the heart looked like when it dried

I added some extra colour with Colour Blast Colour Artist Inks Slipper, Citrus and Spice just letting them run down the canvas and into the muslin and glitter I had added

After placing my photo where I wanted it with Helmar Acid Free Glue I stuck the Fairy into place with Super-Tac Glue after adding a flower to her hand

I added some extra embellishments for some dimension and interest  and glued the down with Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive

Loved for Helmar

Hey Everyone

This week on the Helmar Blog I've created a photo board of my friends fur babies

Dogs (10)

Make sure to check out the rest of the blog for some great ideas and handy hints on what else you can do with your Helmar Glue

Dogs (9)
I started of with a timber frame that came in two pieces
Dogs (3)
Then used white gesso to cover the top part only as the base will be filled with the photos

Dogs (8)
I then used Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint Rustic Brown around the frame
Dogs (5)
I drew around the inside of the frame so I knew where to put my photos it also helped with sizing of my photos
Dogs (8)
I used the Acid Free Glue as I was sticking photos down
Dogs (7)

Dogs (8)

Dogs (9)
To glue the frame to the board I used Super-Tac Glue as this one hold just about anything together I also used it to glue my embellishments down
The Super-Tac Glue comes out white but dries clear so you have no evidence of the glue afterwards
 Dogs (11)
I was given the dog tags which was perfect for this project - I had to add but totally loved because these dogs certainly art
Each of the four dogs has a metal paw charm on thier photo for something special

Dogs (11)
This is Le Til she's the only girl amoungst the the four so I had to make sure she had a bow and a flower
Dogs (11)
This photo is of Roland when he was only about 8 - 10 weeks old he was so little
Dogs (11)
This is Vincent when he was a puppy if you look at the photos he's the biggest of them all now

Thank you for visiting I hope you come back soon x

To Do Lists for Colour Blast

Hey Everyone

This project was inspired by my husband
He has lists everywhere, so I thought I would make something that will keep everything in one place because he won't use his phone apparently that's to hard

So for the Colour Blast Blog this is what I created
Also be sure to check out what the rest of the team have created

Each hook has a different label - Things to do, Things to buy and Places to go so when anyone has something they need or are going too it can be written down (hopefully LOL)

This was a Kaisercraft kit thats been around awhile
First I painted it all with White Heavy Gesso
Then each square I used a different stencil with Colour Paste
Two with Stormy Weather and one with Fire Engine

On the top part I used an arrow stencil with some Colour Paste Snow White then used Colour Shimmer Dust Midnight
Flicked the Dust in a few places then sprayed some water
Then tilted it until I was happy with the coverage I had on it

I love how one Colour Shimmer Dust can have a few different colours come out

The letters I used are white plastic ones so I went around the edges with a black marker just so they would stand out a bit
I glued them down with Helmar Super-Tac Glue

I also used this glue to adhere the clips to the chipboard squares

My husband came up with idea of cable ties to attach the two parts together

Fingers crossed it gets used

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come back soon x

Beautiful Moment for Helmar

Hey Everyone

This would have to be one of my favourite photos from my daughter's wedding
her, dancing with her dad
She was so emotional
She hates to be the centre of attention but I think a little of that emotion was the fact that this was it, she was no longer our little girl
This project is for the Helmar Blog so make sure you check out the rest of the blog while you're here and see the other fantastic projects that the Design Team have created and get some inspiration then visit the Helmar Website to find out where to get your glue supplies

I started with a frame that didn't have a back to it so I found a canvas that fitted and used Super-Tac Glue to adhere the two together
I then painted the frame and canvas with Colour Blast Heavy White Gesso

I then used a Colour Blast stencil which aren't on the website yet and some Colour Paste Snow White
I love the shimmer the paste has it's so pretty and it's subtle enough for this wedding photo because want make sure that stays the focus

I used the Crystal Kote Gloss Varnish Spray over the frame and canvas after using some rub-ons on the edge of the frame
I wanted the frame to have a nice shine to it and the gesso is matte (unfortunately the shine doesn't show up that good in the photos)

I used the Fabric Glue on the scalloped tulle ribbon (this colour matched the bridesmaids skirts and the flowers they had in their hair and bouquet)
I also used it on the flower mum made out of the tulle that I stuck in the middle of the bow

I used the Fabric Glue to adhere the crocheted flowers to the canvas

Then used the Super-Tac Glue to glue the beads onto the centres of the flowers

I used the Super-Tac Glue to stick my very old thickers onto the canvas (I knew if I kept them they'd come in handy one day and this font is so perfect for this project)

The Premium Craft Glue I used to stick some tulle to the canvas then the cardboard to the canvas

I always use the Acid Free Glue to adhere my photos down to the other side of the cardboard
That way I know my photos are safe for a very long time

Well that's it I hope you enjoyed my process

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come back soon x
