Farm Help for Colour Blast

Hey Everyone

Here's my latest project for Colour Blast Australia
Make sure you check out the latest products from the store
And make sure to check out the Blog as there is always lots of inspiration from the fabulous Design Team there

I got these photos of my gorgeous God Daughter from her day at school where they dressed in farm type clothes to support the farmers and donated money towards it as well
She's not shy when having her photo taken if you can't tell

I started by spreading Heavy White Gesso over the Spread Your Wings - Earth Angels paper to mute the black a little and for the  Lush Colour Shimmer Dust to stay on top of the paper and not soak through (that's what happens if you don't prime your papers)

I sprayed water onto the paper then dipped a brush into the Shimmer Dust, then lightly tapped the brush randomly over the page
Then with the spatula I spread the water and dust so it would mix and leave different shades over the paper

Here you can see I used different pieces of the Spread your Wings Collection and added the Lush Shimmer Dust to those as well
I had excess on the page so I swiped them onto it so they all got a bit of colour

I had planned on using these flowers on something else and had used the Soot Colour Artist Ink on them but had added extra water to tone them down then in the end didn't use them
So I added more Soot to them and placed them on the page

I added some straw to give the farm feel and add some texture
And of course every layout needs some metal
I also added some word stickers that I thought where just right for the photos and for Miss Sophie xx

Thank you for visiting I hope you come back soon x

Poison or Potion for Colour Blast

Hey Everyone

On the Colour Blast Blog today I'm sharing a bottle - is it a poison or a passion potion in it LOL

For some reason I have so many bottles and no I don't drink alcohol   hahaha
We are also on Instagram so make sure to check out our page and follow us on there
So I used some Colour Blast products to decorate the bottle with

I wanted to coat the bottle with just the Colour Artist Ink Soot but each time I put a bit in it wouldn't stay
So I tried to add some Colour Shimmer Dust Midnight with some water and then swirling it and trying to dry into place but that didn't look how I wanted it either

So out came the black gesso it was nearly empty so I added water to the container and got as much of the black out as I could so between the three products I managed to fill the bottle and lid not as shimmery as I wanted but in certain light you can see the sparkle

Then I used one of the Colour Blast Linked in Metal Die using book paper

Then using the Colour Embossing Powder Deep Water I embossed some paper clay pieces and then stamped a little stamp heart I had onto the lid and then three times onto the spoon

I tied the spoon with some twine to make it look like that's what you will drink the potion with

Here you can see the beautiful colour of the Deep Water Embossing Powder

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come back soon x

Dream Big for Colour Blast

Hey Everyone

This week for the Colour Blast Blog
Don't forget to check out the rest of the blog for some Design Team inspiration and ideas
I decided to use a photo of my son posing when he was trying on his suit for his sisters wedding and just as I was taking the photo he turned his head to pose LOL

I started off with some crackle paste with a diamond stencil
Once it was dry I wanted to used a few different blues one the canvas

I dripped the Colour Artist Ink Calypso in a few spots then sprayed a little water to help it spread a bit further

I then added a bit of Colour Artist Ink Soot to darken it up a bit but then it was too dark so I watered it down a lot and it made it go a darker blue

Then I added some Colour Shimmer Dust Duke and sprayed the water and everything around it - made me remember to cover and move a few bits that I didn't want blue lol

You can see I added water to the Colour Shimmer Dust Cobalt so it would spread over the canvas

Putting the Colour Shimmer Dust Navy on then I sprayed it a little and turned the canvas in a few directions

Here are two different close ups of the colours you can see the colours

I added some metal embellishments and a few inspirational words to finish it off and that's it

Colour Blast Products I used

Thank you for visiting and I hope you come back soon x
