It's good for me cause my kids are older now and it's really hard to get photos of them at all

Mixed Up Magazine

Make sure you check out our BLOG and see what our very creative
Design Team have come up with
This project was inspired by a new friend that helped me with some healing
(it's part of her Job) she has a business OptiMystic Xzavia she's an Intuitive Healer who
also does yourChakras, massage, past life healings and lots more
you can find her on Facebook

Anyway I made this for her as she was only supposed to spend an hour with me and
ended up spending over an hour
I started with a white plastic frame and painted it with the Finnabair Patina Effect Paste Brass
water in all the grooves of the frame and then on some of the edges

The background I used some modelling paste
Once that was dry I used some Lindy's Tea Pot Purple Spray and some
into the grooves of the Memory Maze Wire Door stencil

I also coloured a lot of the embellishments with the same colours so it all blended

I used some metal to break it up a bit as well

Thanks for visiting I hope you will be back soon xx

Vibe for Mixed Media Supplies

Hi Everyone

My turn on the Mixed Media Supplies blog today and I decided to do a Journal page
My cousin had posted this picture on Instagram and I loved it (It actually looks like her and she loves all animals)

So don't forget to check out the Mixed Media Supplies Facebook Page to see what's happening and see what the Design Team are up too

I've made a YouTube Video of the process - which is pixelated if anyone can help please leave me a comment so I can sort it out (I've tried everything to fix the issue)
You can still watch the video it's only a little annoying

I started by adding book paper across the centre of the page tearing it up randomly but keeping the edges of the pages to the straight edges of the rectangle

I used a lined stencil across the middle of the page just on the book paper
I used the Copper Bronze and Sapphire Blue Mica Powder's on the back ground mixing it with water and dripping it down the lines

I used the Diamond Fence Rubber Stamp randomly over the page

With the Sapphire Blue I made it darker to make it look like the little bird was flying to her

The paper flowers I painted with the Shimmer Pearl and Coral Reef Mica Powder just with a touch of water and when I started drying them the paper started to fluff up so it gave them some dimension

I loved this quote and it's why I added all the extra birds to the page

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will come back soon xx

Smile Big For Memory Maze

Hey Everyone

My turn on the Memory Maze Blog make sure you check it out and
see what the rest of the team are been up too

On this rare occasion I had some photos of my son to
scrap so using the Checker Plate Stencil was perfect as it added to him
standing against the roller door of the garage

The problem is he never smiles yet he's the one that wants the photos taken so we have
to say something stupid to get him to laugh and catch it LOL

The Checker Plate Stencil is one of my faves it is such a great masculine
stencil but can be used for anything really

I used some Impasto to give it a raised look then once it dried I used a teal spray to drip
and drizzle over the page to highlight some of the areas

The Grunge Holes Mesh chipboard is so cool it comes in two pieces one end is
ovals and the other is squares with all the little bits filled in the holes which can
be used for all sorts of fun things (great little Easter eggs, confetti, if you arrange
them you can make a paw print) - endless like your imagination

I like to use the Grunge Holes Mesh for mixed media pages it adds extra
dimension and texture - you can paint it, stamp it even fill the holes in with
texture paste then stamp it or fill it with beads

LeTil for Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenges

Hey Everyone

This month at Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenges our sponsored is
DecoArt the have a huge range of products so make sure you check them out
And don't forget to checkout our BLOG for the Design Teams creativity this month

This is a very lovely ladies dog LeTil (one of 4 of them) she has 3 brothers
so it's been nice to do a page in pink of one of her babies lol

I used very watered down gesso to just tone the pink down a bit behind the photo

I then used some modelling paste with a diamond stencil - one of my favourite shapes
Then used some bright yellow here and there over the page to add a pop of colour

I also added it to the flowers and other bits and pieces that I had on the page

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will be back soon xx

Calm

Hey Everyone

Doesn't this photo make you feel calm
This is my gorgeous cousin Keira she's a very serene, spiritual soul and loves
all things in the outside world

Her husband Kadex took this photo (he has taken some amazing photos) in Bali

I made a video of the process I did to create this canvas which was quite an adventure LOL

You can watch it here on my YouTube channel
Sorry about the quality I don't know what's happened so if anyone can help please let me
know so I can fix it xx

When I saw the Dusty Attic Mandala stencil I knew I had to have it
I used some of the Finnabair Impasto Paints I watered them down so they mixed a bit

I painted whited gesso over the stencilled area after I painted it then rubbed it back so the gesso stayed in the grooves of the stencilled area

The background has about ten layers on it LOL
I couldn't decide how I wanted it to look and kept covering it up with gesso in
then end wiping it back gave it the look I liked

I embellished with a few bits I don't think this canvas needed a lot the photo
has to be the main focus so just a few flowers, a metal feather, a jar of "crystals"and
a large crystal and thats it

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will be back soon xx
