Baby Blanket

Hey everyone

So I haven't crafted much at the lately I had some more back surgery so I couldn't really do much except crochet

I've only been crocheting for about 3-4 months so still new to different stitches and patterns

I started so many different blankets and undid them all then I finally went with this one not 100% perfect like it should be but practice will help

I love the border around the edge it just finishes it off

My future son in law's sister just had a baby girl so it was perfect timing

I chose Yellow, White and Grey even though I knew she was a girl they are such a pretty combination and could be used in any room

So here it is

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will be back soon xx

Max for My Time To Craft

Hey everyone

This months theme is either Halloween or Cats and seeing I live in Australia and don't really do Halloween I went with the cat (which I don't have but lucky for me my bestie and her family do)

This is a picture of Max unfortunately he passed away just recently so I made this frame for my friends daughter whose cat he was

The glass that was on the frame I painted the back of it with with Twinkling H2o's in pinks, yellows and oranges which are Shannon's favourite colours

The stenciled pattern was done with Art Alchemy Graphite texture paste
I love how it has the sparkles in it
I also used it on the heart with a heart stencil

On all of the embellishments I used the Art Alchemy Metalique Wax in Brushed Iron

I stenciled around the edges of the frame and then brushed on some pink paint then rubbed it back with a wipe so it wasn't to bright

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will come back soon xx

Mixed Media Supplies Design Team

Hey everyone

I have been lucky enough to have been picked for the Mixed Media Supplies Design Team

Make sure you check out the Facebook Page and Blog to see what projects the Design Team create with the great products that we have

So here is my first project
I made a small tag using the Copper Mica Power and the Crackle background stamp

I used some heat and stick powder with some embossing powder on the little plastic heart

I put a small about of the mica powder in some impasto to give the background some dimension

On my metal embellishment I used some versamark and some heat and stick powder so I could emboss the crackle stamp to add some texture and interest

I did the same thing on the butterfly
- you can also mix the mica powder in clear embossing powder and it will give you the same effect

Thank you for visiting I hope you will be back soon xx

Oxides

Hey Everyone

I love oxides and love experimenting with them

I tried them on tracing paper WOW the affect that came out is so cool

The paper rippled and the oxides dried so cool

The back of the paper came out different it didn't have the chalk finish
It's so bright

Kraft + August challenge

Hey everyone hope you're all well and getting creative

This is my interpretation of the challenge at Kraft + August challenge

This is the inspiration for the challenge

The photo was taken in Ballarat over the Queens birthday weekend (basketball tournament) by my friend Janine who kindly let me use it
It's so cool with the fog and the lights through the trees

I used lots of card pieces to add some layers and of course some metal

With the background I used some oxides - walnut stain and vintage photo through a stencil with tiny squares in it to give it a faded look and then rubbed some of the fossilized amber over parts where I had used impasto through a honeycomb stencil for a bit more colour

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will come back soon xx
