Happy Easter Egg

I had bought some plastic eggs for my grandson to do an egg hunt with him over Easter but they are so flimsy they fall apart really easily so i decided to use them for a craft project

I made each one different

The first egg was done with graphite paste all over

Then adding some paper clay pieces

I painted everything with gold paint

I added a blob of hot glue to the bottom of each egg to make it stand up on its own

The blue egg has a paperclay piece that I manipulated to fit around the egg

I painted it with some Finnabair acrylic paint in the colour Deep Waters then rubbed over the top of it all with the Art Alchemy Opal Magic wax in Vintage Silk

Then added a row of glass cabachons

I love the sunflower mould I have and I had some sunflowers already painted from a previous project that didn’t get used

The sunflowers are painted with Art by Marlenes acrylic paint in Cheesy, Hot Curry and Tobacco
Then rubbed it over with some Art Alchemy Wax Brushed Iron
Then did splatters of white

I added some twine wrapped around the centre for added texture

This egg I used a border piece around the middle and in the centre a fleur de lis

I then used some Colour Blast Shimmer Dust - Candy, Lollipop and Sunflower

Then rubbed over with the Art Alchemy White Gold

This egg is for the bestie cause she loves green otherwise I’d never do a green one lol

I did a stencilled image with some modelling paste then added some paperclay pieces either side
I used some Inka-Gold in the colour Jade and rubbed it all over egg

I then added some Art Alchemy White Gold wax over the top of the paperclay and the stencilled images

I then used two green glass cabachons that matched nicely and hopefully the bestie will like it x

Thanks for visiting I hope you’ll be back soon xxx

then the spots are done with
The rainbow chippie cut from Scrapbook Fantasies which I used Art by Marlenes acrylic paints on it
I added some gauze behind the Image for some texture

Around the outside of the canvas I used some wax in a blue that shows up in the Image

I added little beads for texture and to add a little extra detail

Then added a little mushroom charm to the side and were done.

I then rubbed it all with different coloured waxes

Added little white flowers for some more dimension

Layering the cogs for height and texture to give interest

Random creations

Here's a few projects I've created over the last few weeks

All of these have an image from Gecko Galz Scrapbooking

They also have a Facebook Challenge page so don't forget to check that out as well this has different challenges to enter

Make sure you enter the challenges you have a chance to win a great prize from the Etsy store

The image is from the monthly card challenge at Gecko Galz Scrapbooking blog
I used some texture paste on the background just using a spatula with the past adding random slathers across the board I also used dot stencil with the paste in random places

Then I painted it with white gesso and green paint

I used a few paperclay pieces - little dots, a frame, a heart, a border strip and a ceiling rose
Painting them all before glueing them down
I picked out colours from the image making them a little bit brighter

I added small beads to the clusters of embellishments and little flowers scattered around places

The border strip I painted in gold then wiped some gesso over the top

Sunflowers are so pretty and happy looking flowers
This image is from the Stained Glass Beauty Set  and the quote is from the Simple Encouragements set
The butterfly is from the Butterfly Wings set
I used paper clay in a sunflower mould then painted them with some yellow then orange paint
I then rubbed them with some silver wax and wiped them over with some white gesso

I fussy cut the butterfly then added a key to the centre for some dimension
Then just added glue to the middle so the wings could stand up

I added little paper leaves randomly to the flowers
Then did a splatter of thinned down white paint over the whole frame
I added little brown pearls randomly into the cluster of flowers

I love this set of butterflies it's just so pretty
They are from the Colours of the Wind set
I used some clear texture paste with a dot stencil
I painted the cardstock with some gesso made for watercolour paint and then used some of my favourite watercolours over the background

Under each of the images I added some cotton for some texture

The paperclay flowers and border trim are painted with a metallic watercolour paint and then I added some embellishments

I used a gold paint to flick over the whole page before adding the images

Thank you for visiting and I hope you'll come back again xx

Scrapbook Fantasies

 New products from Scrapbook Fantasies

Nothing beats new products to play with

I used a calico placemat (placemats are my new favourite substrate to work on)
I painted some Oh My Gold Gessoh across the background I love the look I feel like it looks like honey
I used some gel medium and the bee stencil across the background for some texture not that it shows alot in the photos

I made some sunflowers with paperclay and painted them with some Art by Marlene’s acrylic paints

I had a straw that had bees on it which worked well with everything else and added a flair on top

Using the Queen bee rice paper I cut out each of the elements and tore the edges so they weren’t so straight
Added some gauze for texture

The bee chippie cuts I used gold wax and used gold dots to look like a swirl where the bee had flown

These bees I tore out from the Queen Bee rice paper sheet

Here you can see the bees where I used the stencil they almost look wet

This quote is so fun I know so many smaller women and it’s so perfect for them

This project was done on an acrylic board I had from a frame that I wasn’t using
I love the look it gives  almost see through

I used the Steampunk and Feathers Colour Cuts and the Boho Bliss Feather Cuts and layered them together
Then added some flowers that matched with the colours of the feathers

I made some paperclay feathers and added a flower flair

The owl made from paperclay I painted with some orange and then a light wipe of white over the top

Here you can see the stencil and how it’s almost see through
I used a watercolour orange across the back and then a wash of white and added a border around the edge after painting it with some Art by Marlene’s acrylic paint and a white wash

Thank you for looking and I hope you’ll come back soon x
