Houses in a row for Mixed Media Supplies

Hi Everyone Suzanne here for my first post for the new year for the Mixed Media Supplies Blog
I hope you all had a safe and happy start to it

Make sure you check out our social media pages to keep up to date - Facebook and Instagram
to see what everyone is up too

I got these little houses and decided to decorate them with the Digital Journal Printable Pages
that I printed out on textured cardstock

I used 4 different stencils that I thought looked simular to bricks then I used the 4 different Mica Powders Shimmer Pearl , Coral Reef, Sapphire Blue and Copper Bronze

The base I covered with green paint mixed with white sand and green paint
it took a while to dry but once it did it looked great with the texture

I added little flowers around to make it look like little flowers growing out the
front of the gardens of the houses

Even though Christmas is over I the trees still needed something so I
added little pearls for a little shimmer

With the backs of the houses I thought I couldn't leave them just timber so
I used some of the texture paste and patted it down so it gave it some texture
and then dripped the mica powders down the back as well

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will be back soon xx

Brag Book for Mixed Media Supplies

Hi Everyone

I made this little Brag Book which will have photos added when the owner gets it

This project is for the Mixed Media Supplies blog
Make sure you check out our BLOG and see what the other Design Team members have been creating

All the papers are from the Digital Journal pages which I printed on some textured paper

I stamped using the textured rubber stamps that we also have in the Store

When I stenciled the pattern on I used crackle paste, once it dried I added a mix of watered down mod podge and the Coral Mica Powder so it would stay on the project

I used some of the Coral Mica Powder and added the ends of the ribbon to it for some added colour

I added a few embellishments, I didn't add too much as it would make it to bulky

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will visit again soon xx

Watermelon Red

White With 1's challenge this month is such a summery colour or it could be good for
christmas

The White with 1 Blog has a great challenge where you can do the the colour or the colour and a sketch I chose to just use the colour

It's of our gorgeous great nieces Tahnie and Aisha
I love the way they are playing together and oblivious to what's around them

The heart which I cut out of wax paper was painted with the Colour Blast Candy Shimmer Dust I love how the wax paper reacted to the shimmer dust it gave different depths of the colour across the heart showing darker and lighter in places

The little timber frame and the word Love I coloured with a black marker then covered it with some sparkle paint

Lots of flowers and embellishments
The little red flowers are ones I've had for ever they are Prima and they came in the Jars I HAD to have all the colours lol these ones were a colour that I didn't use so I soaked them in the Candy Shimmer Dust

I used some Snow Paste through a few different stencils for some dimension and randomly stamped some blossom background stamp around the heart shape

Thank you for visiting I hope you will be back soon xx

Sing for Mixed Media Supplies

Hi everyone

I created a layout using a few of our products - Mica Powders and Rubber Stamps which you will find on our WEBSITE

Make sure you check out our Facebook Page and our Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team are up too

I started off using some gesso on the background cardstock then I used the Saphire Mica powder mixed with watered down mod podge and dripped it down the page to make sure it went through the stenciled pattern

Then I mixed some Pearl Mica Powder with the same mix of water and mod podge and spread it on my mat so I could stamp into it

With my flowers I stamped using the Diamond Fence and the Crackle background stamp to give an extra dimension to them
I also painted them with some of the Pearl Mica Powder mix I made

Here's my layout

I used some graphite paste through a diamond stencil for a bit more shimmer

Then used a few embellishments - from metal, flowers, sequins and beads to add dimension and texture

Thanks for visiting I hope you will be back soon xx

BIG BROTHER

Hey Everyone

Kraft Plus have a great challenge this month - THINK BIG
So you can use anything BIG - photos, embellishments, titles it's endless

I created a layout of my friends Great Danes - Vincent (the BIG One) and Roland the new baby
who are now brothers

I started by spreading some black gesso across the Kraft cardstock with a palette knife then used a moroccan patterned stencil with modelling paste - while that was wet I added some Bavarian Blue embossing powder from Lindy's Stamp Gang and Candied Apple oxide ink pad from Ranger
I love how versatile these ink pads are you can use them as a stamp pad, sprinkled with water to make a water colour or as a paint like I have done here

I love these saying stickers from Tim Holtz there's always a saying that's approriate

I used a few different types of embellishments to add to the layers

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will be back soon xx

Be You

Hey Everyone

I decided to enter the Lindy's Stamp Gang November Challenge where you had to use at least 2 out of the 5 colours in the pallete

I used the Printers Tray from Memory Maze Designs I decided to use only one photo and this was perfect as it has the sepia tone to it

I started by adding some crackle paste over the tray in random spots, then stencilled a hounds tooth pattern on the background with modelling paste

I then painted the colours randomly then spraying water and drying in between each layer

I love how the sepia went into the cracks to give it depth

I used a few background stamps on the tray to add another dimension

I dipped some flowers and the muslin in a watered down mix of the colours

A sprinkle of micro beads here and there for more texture they add a little shimmer as well

Added flowers, metal and a few other embellishments and that's it

Thanks for visiting I hope you will be back soon xx

Hello my darling ...

Hey everyone

White with 1 challenge blog has a fab vibrant challenge this month it's Pineapple Dream

So add this yummy yellow colour with white for the challenge

I did that but my yellow has come up a bit orange in the photos which is rather annoying

I used some yellow spray and soaked all my ribbons, flowers and butterfly in a bowl for a little bit

I used some Colour Blast Snow White colour paste through a stencil that looked like a starburst I love the shimmer it gives

Even though I used the same colour each piece had different shades of the yellow so it gave it more depth

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will visit again soon xxx
