Vibe for Mixed Media Supplies

Hi Everyone

My turn on the Mixed Media Supplies blog today and I decided to do a Journal page
My cousin had posted this picture on Instagram and I loved it (It actually looks like her and she loves all animals)

So don't forget to check out the Mixed Media Supplies Facebook Page to see what's happening and see what the Design Team are up too

I've made a YouTube Video of the process - which is pixelated if anyone can help please leave me a comment so I can sort it out (I've tried everything to fix the issue)
You can still watch the video it's only a little annoying

I started by adding book paper across the centre of the page tearing it up randomly but keeping the edges of the pages to the straight edges of the rectangle

I used a lined stencil across the middle of the page just on the book paper
I used the Copper Bronze and Sapphire Blue Mica Powder's on the back ground mixing it with water and dripping it down the lines

I used the Diamond Fence Rubber Stamp randomly over the page

With the Sapphire Blue I made it darker to make it look like the little bird was flying to her

The paper flowers I painted with the Shimmer Pearl and Coral Reef Mica Powder just with a touch of water and when I started drying them the paper started to fluff up so it gave them some dimension

I loved this quote and it's why I added all the extra birds to the page

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will come back soon xx

Basketball is life

Hi Everyone

I created this canvas with a camera and a picture frame attached for an application to the Lindy's Stamp Gang Design Team a little while back and I've only just gotten around to adding it to my blog

If you can't tell I love Magical's they are awesome LOL

The Memory Maze chipboard I used was Attitude in a circle and Square Mesh Grunge

This photo of my son was taken by a friend at our local basketball courts
Jack eat, sleeps and lives for his basketball

I started off with an old camera that was going in the bin of course I had to save it
I glued lots of different paper clay shapes over the camera then gessoed the whole thing
The frame was given to me in a box of mixed frames that someone was getting rid of I painted that with black gesso
The canvas was one I had done a SHE ART project on, it was sitting in the cupboard collecting dust so this project
is made up of recycled stuff

I started off with an old camera that was going in the bin of course I had to save it
I glued lots of different paper clay shapes over the camera then gessoed the whole thing

I used -  red hot poker orange and cattail copper brown from the Autumn Leaves Settweedle dee denim from the Mad Hatter Set, bachelor button blue from the Prairie Wildflower Set, steampunk sepia and steel shimmer from the Industrial Chic Set and the clam bake beige from the Nantucket Pearls Set on the camera, all the embellishments and the background of the canvas
I wanted to have some string to my canvas so I added some water to the string then used the steel shimmer from the Industrial Chic Set to cover it completely then set it aside to dry
As you can see I used lots of different products from metal to chipboard  from Memory Maze and the Magical's show up awesome on all
different textures and mediums
I love how it went into the cracks that I created with some crackle paste
The canvas also had lace and other bits already glued down so when I sprayed the powders they spread so nicely into all the
crevasses and show up all the details

I also used Bavarian Blue Embossing Powder on the frame and the camera
On the camera I sprinkled the powder onto the wet gesso, it gives it a more mottled look
On the frame I used some versamark and a texture stamp so there was a bit of dimension to it

Products I used-

Square Mesh Grunge Chipboard

Music For Soul Sisters Challenge

Hey Everyone

This Soul Sisters challenge was hard for me because the colours (well the green) aren't really colours I use a lot lol
Most of the products I used I purchased from the Art and Soul Studio online store they have an awesome range so you should check them out
Soul Sisters is their Facebook group where you can see their design team in action and keep up to date with what's happening

I printed out part of my of my favourite song "What a Wonderful World" on Kraft card and used the Finnabair's Opal Magic Waxes over the top to give it a shimmer not that it shows up in the photos but they are so pretty

I used an Ultimate Crafts Bohemian Bazaar Stencil with some crackle medium and once it dried I used some Ranger Distress Oxides In Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap and Wild Honey

I used some gold embossing powder with the music notes stamp randomly to add another dimension

Thanks for visiting I hope you will visit again xx

Smile Big For Memory Maze

Hey Everyone

My turn on the Memory Maze Blog make sure you check it out and
see what the rest of the team are been up too

On this rare occasion I had some photos of my son to
scrap so using the Checker Plate Stencil was perfect as it added to him
standing against the roller door of the garage

The problem is he never smiles yet he's the one that wants the photos taken so we have
to say something stupid to get him to laugh and catch it LOL

The Checker Plate Stencil is one of my faves it is such a great masculine
stencil but can be used for anything really

I used some Impasto to give it a raised look then once it dried I used a teal spray to drip
and drizzle over the page to highlight some of the areas

The Grunge Holes Mesh chipboard is so cool it comes in two pieces one end is
ovals and the other is squares with all the little bits filled in the holes which can
be used for all sorts of fun things (great little Easter eggs, confetti, if you arrange
them you can make a paw print) - endless like your imagination

I like to use the Grunge Holes Mesh for mixed media pages it adds extra
dimension and texture - you can paint it, stamp it even fill the holes in with
texture paste then stamp it or fill it with beads

Here are the links to the Products I used -

Shine On for White With 1

Hey Everyone

February's challenge at White with 1 just happens to be

Just one of my favourite colours

so this one was an easy one because I have so many little girls photos to scrap but instead I chose a special friend in my life
She keeps me laughing all the time she knows how to have fun (she also knows when to be serious) but I always have fun when I'm with this crazy lady
She will probably kill me when she sees this photo all over the internet but how could I not look at that face LOL xxxxx

I used Rasspberry Pink impasto through the stencil with a sponge

I painted a few flowers and embellishments in the same colour

I used some of the awesome Flutterby Designs Tiny Sticky Notes (I've gone mad on these I think I've used them on my last 5 projects I've found words that work for each one)

I also used a  Flutterby Design Flair Button which is so HER LOL

Of course a sprinkle of beads and art stones amongst the embellishments and we are done

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will come back soon xxx

And don't forget to checkout our BLOG for the Design Teams creativity this month

This is a very lovely ladies dog LeTil (one of 4 of them) she has 3 brothers

I used very watered down gesso to just tone the pink down a bit behind the photo

I then used some modelling paste with a diamond stencil - one of my favourite shapes
Then used some bright yellow here and there over the page to add a pop of colour

I also added it to the flowers and other bits and pieces that I had on the page
